Austin Design Week's programs are curated by the ADW Advisory Board and Organizing team. Unfortunately we cannot accept every event, so please keep reading to learn about what we look for when reviewing proposals.
Programming must align with Austin Design Week’s mission and abide by our Code of Conduct. We encourage collaborative events that straddle design disciplines, interactive events that allow attendees to meet other people and get their hands dirty, and high quality events that offer a fresh perspective.
We love featuring big brands and design studios, but we’re also focused on highlighting small shops and individual contributors.
Finally, we want to see theme alignment. This year’s programming centers around “Open Doors”. We encourage you to think broadly about this theme and interpret it how you see fit. Possible sub-themes might include, but are not limited to: mentorship, interdisciplinary teams, inclusivity, accessibility, continuous discovery, and the Austin design community’s relationship to the global design community. Think about how you could add a unique voice to these sub-themes, but don’t feel bound to them.
All proposals are reviewed and selected by Austin Design Week’s Advisory Board.
